Sticky Wall (Door)

~ @35.5 months ~
Backdated post for Feb 2014

I was inspired by all the sticky wall activities over at Toddler Approved and No Time For Flash Cards.  Decided to make one for Sweet Butterfly to work on fine motor.
All the necessary materials placed in a paper box.  I prepared counters, strips of coloured paper straws and pipe cleaners.

I planned this to be an independent activity.  However, she didn’t know what to do.  So I showed her how to make a flower by sticking the materials on the door.  She continued from there.

She proceeded to make a house for the Three Little Pigs (with my help).  We did a little maths by counting the counters on the roof.

The end product.  We made some shapes, added the counters and count them.  The house for the Three Little Pigs became a Candy House for the Witch in Hansel and Gretel.
