Supplies:
  1. Macaroni
  2. Plastic bowls and spoon
  3. Coloured stacking cups
Learn:
  1. Scooping & Pouring
  2. Counting
  3. Colour
Training her to learn how to transfer the macaroni from bowl to bowl using a plastic spoon.  Hopefully, soon she will learn how to feed herself.  This activity turned into a little maths game when I asked her to scoop the exact numbers of macaroni.  Of course this was done with facilitation.  I showed her how to count the macaroni.  Praise her happily when she scooped a big spoon without dropping one.

On another day, we used the macaroni to practice pouring from our coloured stackable cups.  This was became a colour activity where she had to pour from one coloured cup to another.  I’ll say something like “Pour from orange to blue.”  I guess the key thing is that these activities are not a review where she had to ‘grab’ the right colour.  I just showered her with vocabulary while we play.
